COMPANY: Parkinson Community Fitness (PCF) is a non-profit, 501c3 that opened in September, 2019 in the heart of Blue Ash, Ohio. PCF provides a place for Person’s with Parkinson Disease to go for Parkinson specific exercise classes, support groups and social events. PCF is a safe place where there is no judgement from society. Designed by the 3 founders as a “sanctuary”, PCF gives hope and acceptance to a population of people that is growing. Over 6,000 people in the Cincinnati area are known to have PD.

POSITION OPENING: OPERATIONS MANAGER (Part-time)

HOURS: Monday- Friday: 9AM-2:30PM

TYPE OF POSITION: 1099- Independent Contractor (Paid on an hourly basis)

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BACKGROND:

  • 4 Year degree in a business-related field
  • 8-10 years experience as a manager in a small-mid-size business
    • Experienced in the hiring of workers, management of company budgets, working with board of directors and attention to details/schedules
  • Fitness/Exercise Enthusiast
    • Candidate must have a passion for fitness and exercise
    • Candidate is required to teach exercise classes at the facility
  • Have a CPR/AED Certification and Personal liability insurance
  • Compassionate with persons with disability and those with chronic illness
  • Must be able to produce files in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Hard worker, detail oriented and kind

Overall description:  The Operations Manager Candidate must be a super organized, energetic and positive person who can manage, on a daily basis, a staff of 10 part-time fitness instructors and 10 volunteers. They must be driven for success not only for the 200 members who attend PCF but for the overall success of the business. The candidate must thrive on a very fast pace work day but be able to assist founders in the overall planning and direction of the business.
