Our February Calendar
February 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th: 1:30-2:30pm – PD Fight Fit Advanced Boxing Class – This is a class for the PWP who regularly participates in the advanced PD exercise classes and wants to add variety to their workouts. The boxing part of the class is non-contact and will encompass the basics of boxing with a focus on PD symptom specific exercises.
February 3rd: 1-3:00pm Parfaits for Parkinsons – Come build a yogurt / fruit parfait and enjoy a snack with friends. Ingredients will be supplied.
February 5th & 26th: 1-2:00pm – PD Fight Fit Elite Boxing Class
This is a great class for the PWP who is ready for High Intensity Interval Training. This class will challenge your heart rate while stabilizing the muscles needed to conduct a safe boxing class. The boxing part of the class is non-contact and will encompass the basics of boxing with a focus on PD symptom specific exercises.
February 7th: 1-2:00pm– OMA- Art Therapy with Alois Alzheimer Center/ Marvin Knoblach – No experience needed.
February 10th: 1-3:00pm – Volunteer at Matthew 25 Ministries. We will be meeting at Matthew 25 Ministries and volunteering as a team. Join us for this service project. There will be a sign-up sheet at the front desk starting February 3. We are collecting pill containers to donate.
February 12th: 1-3:00pm- Valentine’s Day Party
February 19th: 1-2:00pm- Bob Dames, a person with Parkinson’s, will share his perspective on Medical Marijuana.
February 19th: 2:00-3:00pm- Larry Meyer will teach PCF members how to play WII games.
February 20th: 12:30-1:30pm– Elisa Travis from Choice Physical Therapy will present “Your Core and Pelvic Floor; How they relate to urinary incontinence and other issues”
February 21st: 1-2:00pm– Private class for the Alois Alzheimer residents.
February 24th: 1:00pm – We will build our own salads at Curritos (just a block away on Kenwood Rd) and bring lunch back to PCF.
February 26th: 11:30am-12:30pm – Attorney Olivia Smith presents on Probate Court.
February 27th: 11:30am-12:30pm- Jacob Werling from Right at Home will present.
February 28th: 12:15-1:15pm- Teresa Youngstrom will present on “Safety with Dementia”
