Our Mission
To provide a place for Persons with Parkinson’s (PWPs) and their families to go for exercise, support, and social events.
Thank you for starting Parkinson Community Fitness with your committed team and for re-opening a couple months ago with social distancing, masks and constant cleaning.
I feel comfortable taking 4 classes a week which has kept up my strength and flexibility. Together with a good doctor, meds. and walking I have been able to slow or stop the progression of my Parkinson. I have been aware of my Parkinson for 6 years.

PCF provided a welcoming environment for both my PD husband and myself as his care partner. Staff and volunteers were friendly and supportive – allowing my husband to be himself whether participating in tai chi or music therapy. A great place to make and develop friendships.

Parkinson Community Fitness is a haven in a sea of uncertainty and turmoil. Lisa and her team of certified trainers and eager volunteers provides a fitness program and a community of support for those of us living with Parkinson’s. When you are first diagnosed with Parkinson’s you learn that exercise is crucial to mitigating your symptoms and at the same time, there is NO one size fits all protocol. Parkinson’s Community Fitness offers such a wide range of safe programs, you can find the right routine for you.

At my home, I have a recumbent bike, a tread mill, free weights, and rubber bands. All well and good for exercising. But my basement doesn’t have the friends and fellowship that I get from the PCF. That facture allows me to vent frustrations and boost my ability to cope with many day-to-day issues. I regularly attend a support group but the group only gets together once a month. The PCF offers a similar capability and it’s open 5 days a week. The PCF is great for offering the ability to do things not related to PD. Hats off to the people at PCF.

In 2019 I was looking for a place to exercise. I took a look at the Y.M.C.A., LA Fitness, and Planet Fitness. Those places did not appeal to me. I heard about Parkinson Community Fitness and decided to stop in. I was amazed. The smaller setting was very appealing to me. For the first time in my life I look forward to exercising. Parkinson Community Fitness Center relieves my aches and pains and helps me with the mental state of my Parkinson Disease. PCF is my refuge!
